Shift light install * Solved! *
This is the shift light:
http://www.autometer.com/media/manual/2650-1123.pdf It just has a green wire where it says, hook this up to the coil. LOL My last shift light for my 5th gens had a nice clip on wiretap (it did not pierce the wire) and the instructions showed me the wire to hook into. Even I can do that. But now this one has me a bit puzzled. I assume I can just pick a coil and tap into one of the wires with a clip-on tap and set the Tach/Light to 1 cylinder. The answer is no to that question. Two of the coil wires are grounds, one is on full time, the last one slows the car down when I test it. So it must be a digital signal. ![]() Any ideas? I really need the light to be consistent at the track.

In installed the shift light and the AeroForce dual vent pod. The coil wire is just zip tied under the hood waiting for a destination. There has to be one somewhere. Maybe the wire will find its way on its own. Now that would be a cool feature Autometer.

Looking at this:
http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd825.htm ![]() It turns out you can also buy an ODB2 shift light. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?p=9592700

Where did you get the 2 gauge pod and how does it mount?

It uses the top of the dash vent but does not block it. Page down on the link. Slick.

The STA 1000 is the solution to the shift light blues. My conclusion is you need a ODB2 signal pick up for your shift light. You can buy a light with the ODB2 setup or add the STA 1000 to your favorite light. I really like the Autometer guage with the Aeroforce pod. The light is in the pod and up high. I can't wait to test it out.
