K&N Blackhawk CAI
Just curious if anyone is running this on their Camaro and what results you have noticed as far as HP, sound and MPG. Thanks for the input.

When ever I see MPG on a SS post, it makes me giggle.
I have the Z28 OEM CAI which is made by K&N and it rocks |

I liked my K&N and wore it for a few years before I switched to the Vararam ram air. K&N is middle of the road I think. |

I can totally see the humor about the gas mileage...I'm actually pretty impressed with what I do get out of it since I typically drive it like I stole it!

Get either a CAI or Rotofab, they're much better

Yes. The Z/28 intake was developed and is manufactured by K&N. It is good enough for a $76k track monster that decimates cars costing twice as much, but to some, K&N falls short. Arguing over 4-5hp is futile. Choose what you like best.

I'd go for either Cai, rotofab or vararam. Better potential power gains from what I've seen

The only thing I do like about the black hawk cai is the oil-less filter it uses. I hate oiling filters and screwing up the MAF. No matter how careful I am re-oiling my roto fab filter the MAF gets dirty and it throws codes. Now I just don't bother oiling anymore after I clean it and its great.

I have this air cleaner. It's been on the car since June or so and no problems and no check engine lights. It sounds good when you push the throttle and is easy to maintain. Didn't want to spend a ton of money for a CAI and this fit the bill completely.
I will say this thou, I revved the motor with the stock filter box on and the motor hardly moved, I revved the motor with the K&N and could see it rock back and forth on the mounts. Did it give me 30 extra horsepower, no, but it it does make a difference that I can tell is there. As posted not really worried about 4 or 6 horsepower either way. Never planning on pushing it to the point I need to worry about squeezing out every pony or every tenth of a second, and I'll bet most posting on here won't either..... Just my .02
