If I had a million dollars, I'd retire early-screw the McLaren

. A $35,000 car with a lot of 7 day weekends to enjoy it > $250,000 car and a morning commute lol.

Now if I had $10 million, I have some plans for a large garage.

I was thinking the same. If I had a million I would invest it with 4 to 5% (safe investment) return I would then have to rethink when I want to retire. 5 million then I might retire. 10 million retire and think about a car.

Shit Id keep working and buy all the toys I wanted. If your biggest priority is retiring than your job must suck.

No I love my job and make very good $ worked my ass of to get there, but with more free time I can enjoy the things I love to do when I'm not working even more. Plus with 5 to 10 million it can becomes a full time job in itself both investing and keeping the people who rob you blind away including the US Gov. If you don't believe me there a list of lottery winners that pissed away millions some with 50 plus million and now live off welfare.

I plan on working into my 50's, but retiring any earlier than that would just get boring. If I had a million bucks handed to me tomorrow, I'd buy some toys and bank at least half.
