Any feel Chevy is shooting themselves?

I feel like Chevy is shooting themselves in the foot for not unveiling the 6th gen Camaro....... I don't think it is building anticipation, I think that it is turning people away from the Camaro and towards mustang or challenger...... Still we wait.......

Your last three words are your answer...of course we all want to see more than the shadows and "bathroom wallpaper" as F-BodFather calls it...Still we wait! They are not shooting themselves in the foot. They are keeping us on the edge of our seats. The car will still hit the showrooms at the time they are suppose to. I for one, am dying to see this thing in all its glory. I am sure anyone that turns towards a Mustang or Challenger was ready to get an American Muscle car sooner rather than later. The real Camaro fans will wait it out...and some of us are waiting for the 2017...50th Anniversary model...dang that is a long wait!!!! Hang tight my friend; when they release it, it will all be worth it!

Showing it too soon will hurt more the 2015 Model year sales.
Since the 2016 will be made late 2015, it only make sense to push the launch mid to late Summer

Relax, have a beer, patience and faith.

There's a ton of timing involved in an important launch. You don't just start showing pictures as soon as possible.

Nope. This perceived delay is just a by-product of today's connected society where we expect all information to be available on demand. The Gen 6 will be revealed and hit the showroom floors when GM is ready to unveil it.

I am more looking forward to this than just a new generation Camaro. I expect the '16 to be beautiful, hopefully with significant interior improvements and additions, but I won't be getting one no matter how tempting. I love my '13, but will certainly consider trading for a 2017 50th Anniversary Edition. And the wait continues...

This!

If you HAVE to have a muscle car right now? You have your options. But once you buy it, you're committed to it rather than possibly buying a C6 and it being a killer car. If its not? Your wait wasn't wasted as you were "weighing your options" so to speak. Now you know indeed which car to get...

Sorry, companies dont work that way. Just because you bought their product or products doesn't mean you're invested in them. Buybacks are for investors to gain some cash, not tax payers. You want tax money back? Get a CPA.

2 sides to that, I think our current cars are awesome. Next Gen may not be as awesome for some, so they will then get a '15 model, with better rebates. Some people did this when the when the refresh happened. It will also take the aftermarket some time to make products, which will also most likely be more limited and expensive at first.

I agree. But some of the renderings are so good I think the exterior is pretty much nailed down. We know the engines will surely be GM's global 6's and Corvette V8's. The only real unknown is the interior and overall weight.
