Spotify

I just purchased a 2017 Camaro 2SS and I'm a little confused about Spotify integration. I'm able to get Spotify over the Bose system in the car but I get nothing on the screen. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked with out a cable. Is there a way to get Spotify on the screen or am I just going to have to use my iPhone to control it. Thanks for your time.

I use Android Auto, but I need to have the phone connected with Bluetooth and the USB cable to get it to display. I can do audio only over Bluetooth if I want, but the Spotify app won't show up on the display.

Only way to see/control it on the screen is to use CarPlay.

Yeah sounds like you're just playing the music through bluetooth. You have to plug the phone in and use apple carplay to control it on the screen

I have rudimentary controls on Spotify over BT. Pause, FF, RWD.

I use Google Play via BT and all the artist info and everything show on the screen as well as play, pause, etc. In addition, i can use the controls on the steering wheel. Were you looking for more than that?

Google play sounds like what I'm looking for. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Spotify on BT for me displays the Artist/Song/time of track, and I can skip songs. Carplay and Android Auto for if you actually want to go into the app on the screen. I generally dont though, because it is more difficult to change playlists/select a specific song than just doing it on my phone.

The voice control for Google play is pretty good. Without having to use the screen I can say "play song x" and it will start the station for that song. That being said, I generally use BT because it will start playing automatically as soon as the phone connects. I don't even take my phone out of my pocket most times.
