Keeping stock wheels

I’ve replaced my stock SS wheels with repo Z28 wheels. I go back and fourth with selling stock. They probably aren’t going back on but I’m also not planning on parting with the car. Any good reason to keep them or should I sell and try to recoup some money from the brand new Nittos on them? The car isn’t stock. Has a Whipple so as far as long term financial gains I’m not sure it matters with the mods done. Thought?

IF you TRACK your car, you could put "track only tires" on them to save the wear and tare on your regular street tires.

OR

possibly put a set of "winter" tires on them.

^^^^ this as Sir Nuke says. If you don't track the car, these would be a great set to have as a "winter setup" so you can save the M228's..

My stock wheels and original tires have been sitting in my garage for over 8 years. I have the space, so they just sit there.

The car won’t see the track or winter. Goes away when the salt trucks roll abs comes back out in spring after a few good rain storms. I’ve got the room and the money is always nice but won’t make it break me one way or the other. I do like the idea of having them as spares. But again it’s a toy car so if it’s down for a few days o well. Hence my question.

Always good to have a old set laying around in case you get a blowout, crack a rim, want to just blow through some tires and smoke up the block .....
