And then there were 2...

It's official, we now have 2 stock 10 second Zl1s! I was able to back it up with an 11.00 and a couple 11.02s.

Now its time to share your launch technique and settings with the rest of the class.

I turn everything off (7 second tc hold), car in race mode. I do a decent rolling burn out, stage as shallow as possible, I foot brake it to around 1300 rpms, and launch by the seat of the pants. What I mean by that is, you really need to have a feel for the track to know just how aggressive you can be with the throttle. Today was able to get it moving for a couple feet before I could go fully to the floor.

Today, Maryland International Raceway was prepped like no other. The conditions were ideal with temps in the mid 40s and barometer around 30.2. I think the da was around -1600 on my first pass this morning.

What I do is nothing that can't be duplicated by anyone else, I just have a lot of seat time. There is nothing special with my car, I don't try any tricks other than dropping the tire pressure down to 26 psi, and removing the tow hook and other junk from the trunk.

I weighed the car today and it came it at 4225 lbs with me and a little under 1/4 tank of gas.

If you look at the other David's video (17CamaroZL1), my burnout technique was identical to his. He had a bit more spin than I had due to his cold track, but I'm sure both our passes looked pretty similar. I do have PDR footage, but there was too much cussing after getting the slip for me to post it. Lmbo!!!

Thank you and you're very welcome. It would be great to see others get there. I honestly thing a 10.8 is possible bone stock. All it would've taken is 170lb driver on my 10.99 pass to get a 10.89
