Bump? Haven't heard much about CF shafts around here. Would be nice to see something in the 15-18lb range?

Theres a few running one... sadly, the dont offer any gains from parasitic loss.... they weight about the same as factory.

That sucks. Not worth it imo. The GForce Aluminum shaft at least drops 3lbs.

I have the QA1 rev series carbon fiber driveshaft but it wont be installed until next week. Ill be sure to come back and post my thoughts on any gains in acceleration and also the weight difference between the stock shaft and the carbon fiber.

Yup, I’m highly interested in this driveshaft, also.

When I was looking into getting a one-piece shaft it seemed that the difference in weight was a mute point, an more in that a CF driveshaft helps absorb the shock of a launch/shifts more so than an aluminum shaft without fatiguing that shaft. Think one thread I had read that a guy who dragged his street car a lot, replaced his aluminum shaft about every two to three years based on how often he went to the track a season. He had made mention of painting lines on the shaft to keep up with how much he had twisted it and it not sprung back.

Don't know how Skywalker feels about his, but I like mine. I've had it on for a month and a half now. No additional vibrations over 120 mph.

It holds up to the launches with 3.73s and the A8 with slicks on.

Installation was straight forward.... all the bolts are supposed to be torqued and the shaft is balanced a certain way, but qa1 is nice enough to color code everything for a simple install.... just match up the colors.

Did you weigh the shafts?
