Isn't the lip on the Airaid gasket supposed to point outward for a better seal against the hood?

Thats a good question ! I went back and looked at several on this site and some are turned in...some turned out. So, does any one know if it really matters or not. This car is not a daily driver, i bought it only to show it and w/ends. So does it matter....anyone?

It should be turned out.

Won't make a huge difference, but it should help create a better seal against the bottom of the hood.

If you think about it, with it turned in, with enough pressure, some air could leak its way into the box. With it turned out, makes it much harder for air to force its way in.

ahh...in or out....either way you may not be getting any benefit from the Airaid right now...

I really like your "Born on" hood emblem though!
