Shutter
I had my trans fluid changed for the second time due to the shutter. The dealership called and said they flushed it but it didn't work and I would need a new torque convertor. My questions is how does the dealership confirm that the flush didn't work, because they didn't drive my car at all after the flush.

Thanks I will on Monday when they open back up. I was hoping to have some information before calling and asking.

They would have to drive it to know if the TC was damaged. Shudder would remain after the flush. Unless they inspected the TC and found damage.

Still beats me why some of these A8's never had a prob and many do or did. I batting one in one. New 2019 C7 had it at 400 miles and got the lemon law and my 2015 C7 has never been serviced for any A8 probs and runs like a champ.

IIRC the original way was with a picometer, which a competent dealer will have and know how to use. GM being GM removed those instructions from the TSB in July 2019 according to this:
