50th anniversary?
think they'll have any sort of special edition for the 50th? I mean something out of left field, not just some different wheels and stripes.

out of the field means... a v8 Twin turbo engine or something like that? because I don't think so, It mostly will be a few stickers, rims, seats, interior trim and that's it Im sure the stickers will give you extra 5 hp

It would be awesome if they took a special 50th edition Camaro, and drove it through all 50 of the United States, to Find New Roads...

I guess I would hope for something a little more celebratory than some stickers to celebrate it.
probably wishful thinking. |

I can't see Chevrolet doing anything different from past anniversary editions. Meaning only a unique appearance (colors, decals, wheels, etc.). The only "special" anniversary edition I remember is the rare, LT4 powered 30th anniversary edition. I believe there were just 100 built. Even then, I believe those were done through SLP, as were the 29 Pontiac Firehawks with the LT4.

i wouldn't mind if it's an appearance package if they did a vintage-type 1967 color.
of course a unique color and decal combo would probably cost ooh $7,999 or thereabouts. |

I wish they would bring back the Camaro badge/emblem. A modern version though, to celebrate the 50th, and then they should add it to all future Camaro models as well. Or at least the SS models or something.

Might just be my opinion, but I think the combination of a special color (the 45th got the metallic black whatever it was called), wheels, emblems/exterior trim, and interior trim is pretty good. Past that you'd be looking at special anniversary only performance upgrades that I just don't think you wouldn't be able to get on the non-anniversary models. Doing the necessary testing/development needed to toss in a special engine or suspension setup just for an anniversary model sounds way to costly to me.

Something like what Pontiac did here would be cool.

A few years ago one of the big car magazines did an article on anniversary edition cars, and they concluded it seems the public seems to ignore them no added value. The biggest seller they could find was the Corvette 40 anniversary edition and had a hard time to find one for the picture in the mag!!!!
