1LE Suspension/Alignment Components
Hello All.
I’m looking into upgrading some of the suspension and alignment related components on my 1LE. My alignment keeps going out of wack very quickly, especially after spirited driving or autocross events. I know this is a fairly common issue on the 6th gens because of the eccentric bolts for camber/toe adjustments, so I’m looking to at least alleviate some of the issue and hopefully not have to get an alignment every month lol. So a couple questions. I’m definitely looking into getting rear adjustable rear toe rods with eccentric lockouts, and adjustable lower control arms/trailing arms for the rear as well. But for the front, should I look into camber plates or instead go the adjustable lower control/tension (caster) arm route? I’m mainly looking at components from BMR and SPL, as SPL has some front end components that BMR doesn’t offer (Front LCA’s, Front Tension rods), but I’m definitely open to other brands as I’ve heard a fair amount of quality control issues on the SPL side. Any recommendations/advice is appreciated. My main goal is to better lock down my alignment settings while also gaining some more adjustability in the process. |

I have a pretty in depth build thread here with part numbers: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=602092 The only time my alignment changes is if I run off the track at high speed trying to push the car too hard (LOL).

Thank you for the insight! Reading through your build thread, it looks like you went with the Vorshlag camber plates for camber/caster adjustment. If you were to do it again would you have went with the SPL Front Lower Control Arms for camber/caster adjustment or do you think the camber plates are a better option for that? Thanks! |

I run the full catalog from spl in the Rear. It alleviated all of my alignment issues. I have nothing but good things to say about their products.
