WTB: '14-15 or '17-18 SS 1LE
As the title suggests, I am wanting to buy a 1LE from these years. Yes I know this is a Gen6 forum, but I believe a lot of Gen5 guys frequent this forum. I'm located in Michigan and willing to travel for the right car.
General Criteria: No Sunroof Low mileage <50k Mostly stock 1SS or 2SS Open to all colors Max Budget $35k Thank you, Cody |

At this point I would focus on the 6th gen SS 1LE, it's leaps and bounds better than the 5th gen.

Yes, fair point. I see benefits to both. The styling of the fifth gen can’t be beat imo. LS3 vs LT1 is a good debate as well. Gen6 chassis is quite amazing. Gen 5 is lower budget I’m just looking to see what’s out there, don’t have my heart set on Gen5 vs. Gen6. If the right one is out there I’ll know it when I see it.

However, if you look at the chassis, driving dynamics, stock power, curb weight, interior, gauges, electronics, there is no comparison. I understand the price aspect as well, but also don't forget that the "youngest" 5th gen is going to be a 2015, a vehicle that is 9-10 years old. A 2018 is a much better deal, and if you're willing to engage in some de-freshing like a fellow forum member did, you can go to newer model years, too. It's a tradeoff and this is your budget, your preferences, I'm just bringing some facts that you can consider. Good luck either way, hope you'll get a gnarly good Camaro
