Trap RPM

Does anybody know the RPM is going thru the beams on the big end. Judging from all the videos ive watched it seems like it goes deep into 4th gear. Trying to decide on a tire diameter (drag radial) it seems every half inch in diameter is approx 100 rpms in 4th.

Tried my stock A8 once so far, using track mode with shifter in 'D', and it shifted to 5th near the traps.

I run 305/35 DR and it shifts into 5th every time just at the line, 6200 rpm. +/- 100.

Wow thats a 28.5" tire, at 6200 i wonder if you would have been better off locking it into 4th and just letting it tongue hang out thru the stripes ?

I thought about doing that and I PM'd a couple guys to see what their thoughts were on it. If the trans shifted sloppy then it would be a no brainer, but after 6k+ the car really stops pulling imo.

It happens with such frequency that when I do eventually nip the line in 4th, I'll know I made a quicker pass..lol.
