Not sure if any of you have seen this video yet. This is on the shop owners ZL1. He performed a baseline, had the blower and throttle body ported by Kong, then added a 103mm throttle body and Roto-fab intake and took as accurate as possible dyno runs after each mod to compare. His baseline was high at 575 rwhp in cold weather. In the warmer weather after all of these modifications, he made 637 rwhp. This is with stock boost and stock exhaust. Seems like pretty good gains to me, what do you guys think?

I’m going through the trouble of removing the blower and the expense of porting I would just upgrade superchargers. Porting the supercharger and everything is at least 2K I would think.

I wonder if these cars don't dyno low in cold weather due to the torque management in the stock tune. If he has a dyno, then why wouldn't he dyno it the day before?

Wow 2k seems like a lot for porting. I didn't think it would be that much.

Porting and the larger TB is worth approx $1500 without tuning... I've asked about this service from a different shop a few months ago

Is the larger TB worth it or will a Tony Mamo TB with ported SC work similar?

That's a good question, I have no idea.

How much is the tune funny man? That work is $2,000 plus. Do not know about you I do not work on my own cars though. There’s a labor charge as well. Custom tune is a easy thousand bucks?

I never had a supercharger ported so I'm unsure about the cost that goes into that, I've only had intake manifolds ported. The tunes on the LS cars I've owned/own are usually around $550-$600 with hptuners. I know the LT cars require more credits which would explain the higher cost.

Weapon-X charges $1000 for full blower and snout porting. Not too bad if you do your own labor.

So what are you gonna to do drive around not tuned? Let’s throw another 200 bucks for shipping. Custom tune is 1K +. $2500 + right there w/o labor. What now?

Not our cars, the LS platform cars are around $550-$600. I mentioned the LT platform cars need more hptuners credits to be tuned, so it would be more than that. How much more, I wasn't sure but if you're saying $1,000, it must be quite a bit more.

What do you mean our cars? What do you drive? Yeah I estimated the custom tune low. Dyno time & a reputable tuner to write a custom tune would not be cheap.
