Best tweeter location

Im looking to install some tweeters. Should I consider the dash in the deep corner where i believe the stock tweeters would be? Or is the A pillar a better option?

Open to any suggestions.

Thanx

It's not that simple. every tweeter is different. some tweeters are designed for on-axis placement. others are designed for either on axis or off axis placement.

The material of the tweeter matters as well. Silk domes vs. aluminum vs. ribbon tweeters.. it all matters if you are firing off glass , as in the factory location. Some of this can be factored out with tuning if you go active , but with a passive crossover you can only do so much tweeter attenuation on the crossover.

I am running a three way setup, active. tweeters firing on-axis in custom A pillars, 2.7" midrange firing off glass in the factory location, and 7.1" midbass in the doors.

If I were installing those, I would fire the tweets off axis, facing each other in the A pillars. I personally wouldn’t fire them off glass
