Rear gears
Any one know what gears they are putting into each model?
I haven't seen any info yet.

The M6 SS is 3.73 and the A8 SS is 2.77. Not sure about the V6 or T4.

It's an 8 speed auto. I'm sure the first few gears are plenty quick even with a 2.77 rear gear ratio present. Should work just fine.
Too much rear gear and first gear in the transmission would be virtually useless. The inherent advantage of more gears is improved mileage while still remaining very aggressive in terms of ratio in the essential drag racing gears. Then have your upper gears produce great mileage in conjunction with the 2.77. Best of both worlds. Putting in too much gear would pretty much kill driveability with an 8 speed transmission. most modern auto transmissions use a nice deep first gear which allows them to use a tall axle ratio in the rear, which in turn makes it stronger (much larger pinion head) and less NVH. Win, Win.

2.0t will get 3.27 regardless of transmission, 3.6 will get 3.27 in a manual and 2.77 in the auto
