My plan was to get it mechanical sound and have an actual tuner tune it. I'm pretty good at figuring out what is making a car not run correctly but i don't really know a whole lot about changing tunes to make it run differently.
The tune it had was kinda all over the place since it had a nitrous cam with no bottom end power. I figured 2002 stock tune would be good since mechanically they were the same but the 02 made more power than the 99. That ended up being pretty sloppy so i just put the stock 99 tune in it. It runs pretty ok like that but i noticed a vibration at 1300rpms that I'm pretty sure is the flywheel is out of balance. I dropped that off today.
As much as i would like to learn to tune on it, i need to get it ready for my daughter to drive it. So I'm on the fence of taking it over to James Karger or having someone remote tune it with me. But either way the car needs to be ready to tune.
