CRC DI cleaner
I've used 4 times in my v6. 83k miles now. I now have a port in my intake manifold, makes it easier anbI think more effective. I add hose so I can sit in the car control the throttle and spray. Pretty easy.

Technically you could use that hose going from the air tube to the catch can and get the throttle plate too.

The intake is pretty easy to pull on the v6, if you ever want to really get to the valves and clean them. Media blaster with walnut shell scrubber is a pretty popular method.
If i ever get one in that's really carboned up i will usually use engine degreaser and a power washer. But doing that im usually pulling plugs and draining all the oil out too. Your method will probably keep you from ever needing to do that, but customers i deal with usually don't spend money on maintenance unless its being towed in for neglect. |

I had to replace my thermostat in December so I saw the valves. They are gunked up. I put the occ on 6 months ago. I tried the Tracy Lewis $450 occ setup a few years ago that is why I have hole in the intake. It pulled enough vacuum under 1500 rpm to make the front main seal squeal. Had to pull dip stick to make it stop. Took it off.
