Stellar Tune on ZLE

FYI-I went with Derek Dunbar to tune my '21 ZLE yesterday. I just picked this car up 2 weeks ago. Mild mods: DSX flex sensor, Mighty Mouse catch can, Chevy Performance Headers, Rotofab intake. Night and day difference in performance and feel after Dereks tune. I'm glad for the video post on the "Lid Shootout". The group (Florida High Performance) that produced video mentioned Derek did tuning for them. I spoke, via email, with Erik at FLHP to confirm going with Derek and this was his reply "Friendly, informative, honest and timely on his files. Cannot say enough good things about Derek. Hands down top tuner right there. He is a crucial element to our success here at FLHP. No need to look anywhere else." Just thought I'd share with community...

Great! I've heard nothing but great things about FHP. You don't get to be a top shop by not having a great tuner available.

He did the tune on my 2017 1SS a few weeks ago. Great tune but the shop that did the modifications and the work sucked! What should have been a good experience turned into a 2 week nightmare of shotty workmanship:(

How did he tune you without a wideband? Were you on a shop's dyno? Do you have a wideband installed?

Yes it had a wide band and it was done on a hub dyno and road tune. And after all was said and done had another tuner verify the tune was ok.

Hate to hear that! Hopefully he didn't recommend the shop! Derek recommended a mechanic near me to discuss the mods that were already done on my car when received. The mechanic went through the entire car and made a few good finds related to the catch can, spark plugs and associated wires. He worked with Derek to tune and like I said "Stellar Performance" all the way around.

My current tune is by DD Tuning who Kong recommended. I mentioned him on my LME390 thread where we discussed my 22° spark advance
