Could be something to do with the stripes, but they have their own RPO code on the same build sheet, “BO4 - BLACK METALLIC RALLY STRIPES”. I don’t have them, be curious what the RPO code is for factory installed ground effects

I’m almost certain TD2 is just a RPO for cars with vinyl to be either sent or put aside for the vinyl install after production. This thread has most of the 6th Gen specific RPO codes and shows 5VM for Ground Effects and VTP for Ground Effects - Metallic Black.

For example, one of the cheapest cars that have TD2 is this LS with the only option being the stripes. I can’t find any car that doesn’t have some type of vinyl without the TD2.

Here’s one of the cheapest cars with VTD (Ground Effects - Carbon/Metallic Black) to show the difference. This car doesn’t have TD2 on its RPO’s.

The 1LE’s have TD2 because of the hood wrap in vinyl. I can’t tell you the exact reason for the TD2 RPO code but it’s definitely vinyl install related. Last I remember a third party company supplied the vinyl to GM.

I feel the pain of RPO order codes and such...

All I wanted was 1LE Factory Wheels on my special ordered, 2020 2SS and there was absolutely no way to do it without the 1LE package, even though the wheels were in the factory, I would have happily paid a $1,500 "option" for them, I wanted the A10 because at the time because this was "allegedly" going to be my daily driver (not the garage queen is has become!) and the 1LE package in 2020 only offered the M6 (until 2021)...

Oh well, I figured it out... MRR 017 1LE Replicas... Finally got the look I wanted all along! Wouldn't trade this look for anything...

They’re a solid choice, I looked into getting just one when one of my wheels got bent but found someone coincidentally selling just one near me.

I downloaded all of the order guides and for 2019+ combined all the RPO’s to be able to get proper descriptions. I think I’ll consolidate them and post a thread in the future for others
