Weight savings

For the few of you that have put your cars on a diet. Did you run into any communication issues with removing certain electronics? If so what were they?

Think i'll be putting Judy on diet here soon.

Definitely interested to hear about this. I've stripped out quite a bit but have yet to have the courage to go that far. I'd love to find another hundred pounds.

What have you taken out already? And do you know your weight?

I just weighed it after the engine install. It was at 3480 with 1/8 tank of fuel. I just took off the AC compressor and installed the BMR engine mounts. I took out all the interior carpet and panels, deleted the sunroof. 2 race seats, half cage, ZLE brakes. I haven't touched the doors yet, those will get gutted when I get the full cage installed hopefully this year.

Seems like a light weight battery would be an easy next step for you?

Yeah the Antigravity Lithium battery is a solid 30 pound weight savings.

Lithium battery is def the easiest weight savings..

Anyone remove the AUX coolers? Or know the weight of them. I know the drag racing guys remove em. But they only on the gas for maybe 10 seconds.

Also I ran without my transmission cooler this past weekend and i didn't see much of a difference if any in the 10min i was sending it. Might keep that off as well.
