BTW agree with Kerry: totally forgot, but that super-duper, two-part plastic glue can be amazingly strong. (Also JB Weld Plastic, etc.)

If the break is still clean on both sides, that's definitely worth a $10 experiment. There's a lot less "work to do", compared to my ideas, to see if it'll do the trick. And then if it doesn't, you can still try mine. Or anyone else's...

Can't take a pic right now but if you were looking, from the driver's seat, back at the horizontal part of the screen, in order from front to back you'd see:

-- horizontal mesh surface
-- rear edge of horizontal screen frame
-- seat belt coming up from below
-- closed finger with seat belt going over it
-- seat
-- and seat belt disappearing into the slot

So I've never even opened the "fingers" all the way. Didn't even know that slot was there! ("How'm I doin'...) :-0
I'm honestly surprised that it sits still for you like that. But hey... if it works, ...

Appreciate all of the ideas! Still waiting for the guy that says "Hey, we produce them at our facility! How many parts do you need!"

That's a good find. I'm saving the link in case mine ever breaks. Thanks.

FWIW attached is what I've been doing since January 2022, not knowing any better. Thing is still on there!

An update! First of all thanks Vince for the find! Ordered a set and they appear to be made by the same manufacturer but are different from the originals and will not work. Oh well. Have not had time to attempt any repairs but will post when I get to that point.

Ugh!

Any chance you could post up a pic or two to show the differences?

I can take better pictures if anyone would like them. The longer one on the bottom is the replacement. It is longer in length. It could be cut down but the short length where it mounts to the bracket is also different. The worst part is that the bracket mounting holes that mounts this to the screen are in different places.

I'm guessing that the length of that "pin" shouldn't matter, but obviously the mounting holes not lining up would be a big issue. Any chance they sent the wrong part?

Update. I just used the "fingers". Remove the small pin out of the center. Remove the broken finger. Remove the pin out of the center of the new bracket. Take the new finger, install it with the same pin you punched out. LIKE NEW! I put my windscreen back in and works great!
