The key word in that Lubegard advertisement: "Reduces"
Not fixes the shudder, Not prevents the shudder, but "Reduces".

It also says:
"When your customer is suffering from TCC shudder.. you can
help them avoid the expensive replacement of their OEM ATF by
simply adding 2 bottles.."

Notice it says "help them avoid" not prevent. So this is not a fix
but another bandaid to add onto GM's bandaid non-solution.

Since GM refuses to admit they have a defective design OR 5 years
of using defective torque converters, I am left with the feeling that
the GM bean-counters have decided that the most economical way
out of this (for GM profits) is to do nothing hoping as many warranties
expire as possible before the torque converters fail completely so
GM has fewer repair costs to deal with. IE: Let the customer eat
the replacement costs after the warranty is up.

Also note the advertisement suggests that it is appealing to the repair
mechanic to "help the customer avoid costly failure". That's a joke.
GM won't admit the problem and prevented us from getting these
bandaid flushes for years using a pico test as a "gate" to refuse
customers who came in with shudder and asked for the flush.
Based on this behavior, the odds of GM allowing the dealers to
spend an extra $20 (or whatever this product costs) is zero.

The advertisement should have been worded for the car owner.
Maybe wording like this would be more fitting:

Dear GM Owner..
We know GM has been Fu**ing you for years so we have researched
and developed a product that may prolong the life of your poorly
designed torque converter system which is destined to fail eventually.
Our goal is to help you delay your eventual replacement costs by
several years.

PS: Thanks NobleSS for the effort. It's nice to know non-GM companies
are stepping forward to acknowledge GM's failure.

PPS: The best solution is to buy the manual transmission Camaro instead.
