The IC circuit isn't connected to this "Degas tank" at all. This mythical "Degas tank" is nothing more than an overflow in series for engine coolant. I have no idea where you are getting this info. Self purging is very doubtful in this scenario. If you want self purging, get an intercooler circuit reservoir.
