You can't deny EVs as status symbols, especially among the early adopters. And we're still in that stage, with the current hot image being about demonstrating one's acceptance of EVs in general. Gotta make sure you look like you're ahead of the curve, too.

Probably true in at least some cases. But that's more about the individual's reasons for getting an SS. For somebody like me, an SS is only about what would please me, not about some projected image for others to either appreciate or disrespect.
