The ONE thing I had to get used to was the feedback from the gas pedal is very much different from that of linkage. For instance how the car moves between first and second is sometimes feels controlled more by the computer than by me...I don't know if I'm explaining it right, but you can feel the intermediary when driving the new manual as opposed to old. I prefer the older style like in the 96 C4 but I wouldn't trade the Gen 5 manual for an auto either. I agree with Modshack. Go with it and enjoy the drive.
