OP I did it the other way around. I ordered an LT1 and added all the Camaro options I wanted and kept it under $40K. It comes with all season runflats and I added better looking wheels for $100. This will be my winter setup. But I already have MRR 1LE wheels for the summer.
If you are not familiar with the LT1 it is missing the standard SS Track cooling and rear Brembos. But the LT1 model has all the other LT1 good stuff including world class handling. On a race track the LT1 with better tires will keep up with a SS but only for a lap or two. If that matters to you. It accelerates, handles, and stops as well an SS. I would know, I owned a 2016 M6 2SS and an A10 ZL1. My LT1 is now my favorite Camaro ever and I have owned 8 of them.
