I had a 14 Z-51 C-7 with a A-6 at Willow Springs, Lasted five minutes, Trans over heated and went into limp mode. I now have a 16 SS with a A-8, This Trans seems much better than the A-6 and i want to take it to the track.
Will it over heat or be OK ? thanks for the input........

I have no experience with the Camaro6, but the A8 Z06 was fine in Nevada heat for many 2 hour rounds over the course of 2 days. I imagine there will be no problems at all with the better air flow over the coolers that the Camaro has. Just keep a few things in mind:
1) Use the paddle shifters, don't go full auto.
2) Don't use the engine to brake, use the brakes.
3) At the end of the brake zone downshift to the correct gear, then do your turn in (if you need to drop several gears, just hold the left paddle down).
4) Don't upshift until you have unwound coming out of the curve.
It takes a little practice getting the correct gear for each curve because of the close spacing, but after a couple of laps you'll be fine.
