I hear you brother, I do, my car has the same trans . Good news is the torque converter itself isn't too expensive, see below.

The bad news you probably already know, replacing the TC may not be something you feel like tackling in your garage, and you're out of warranty. That said, it should solve your shudder issue practically for good.
