I just came from a 2010 2SS M6 to a 2018 ZL1 M6. I must say that in daily driving, the old SS felt more torquey at lower RPM's in city driving. IMHO, you'd never guess that the ZL1 is as capable as it is by just driving around town. To me, the SS had more grunt right off idle.

Unless you just nail the throttle, the ZL1 is a *****cat to daily drive- IMO. However, when you nail it, the ZL1 is a beast. If you're shying away from a ZL1 because you assume it's too much for the road, I can almost guarantee you that you'll change your mind after driving one. It strikes a near perfect balance between civility and obnoxiousness.
