Sure, but they certainly are yelling about the T87A, which also needs to be cracked, it just happens to be protected by a lesser encryption that (I'd imagine) they can brute force in a few hours. I don't see how the legal ramifications would be any different.

Perhaps one is under existing licensing agreements, another not so much.
