Would not recommend mounting an Aeroforce gauge in any vent that can carry heated air. The display can dim, or basically go completely dark until the thing has cooled down enough. Aeroforce maybe even mentions this, don't remember.

The one I keep hooked up all the time went in a separate A-pillar pod (and is how I know they don't like heat - think summertime heat from the sun). The one I add for track days gets a top-of-dash Velcro mounting but doesn't live there full-time and I do keep the windows open in paddock.


Just losing some HVAC functionality wouldn't be the best thing to do.
