The Corvette has a steel torque tube between the engine and transmission to absorb the vibrations from AFM, when the engine changes to V4. The Camaro transmission bolts directly to the engine, so there is nothing to absorb the vibrations. On the auto trans, the vibrations are absorbed by the torque converter.
