I have a copy of all the service records on this car. The previous owner had put an Elite Engineering catch can on, and left it on when he traded it in. Shows he cared about his car. I had one on my previous camaro. He had oil changes regularly, plus had the flush done twice from what I gather. My wife works for Chevy, so the car was gone over by the there corvette guy. Just added 4 extra years of warranty, and good to go.

Probably less of a big deal on a V8 car. The camaro's both have 6 speed manuals!
The A8 is a great transmission. It has "gathered" a lot of hate because GM did mess up on the torque converter/fluid issue, but the latest (Jan 2019) fluid seems solid; when it doesn't fix a shudder, it's because the TC had been damaged too far and needs to be replaced.

My A8 (tuned by Ted Jannetty) is nearly as perfect as a slush box can be, smooth when cruising and an animal at WOT and in performance shift mode, selecting the correct gear at all times, downshifting and upshifting just as well or better than I would do with an M6. The one remaining flaw is the slow paddle response time, which AFAIK cannot be brought up to DCT or even A10 levels, but that's okay with me.
