I'm hoping to be able to pull up to any E85 pump and fill 'er up without worrying about the ethanol percentage. I will mix if needed, but am hoping to have enough headroom that I don't have to worry about it. Is this just wishful thinking, I wonder?

E60 won't be a problem as it's been documented and proven. Above that you may be still ok depending on the percentage of E at your local pumps. Around here I see consistent E78. I am going to see what mine does on E78 @ 8psi with LT4 injectors, LPE big bore, ZL1 tank/JMS BAP, stock cam.
