Originally from Camaro Scotty (Wisconsin), but I'm trading up for a ZL1 at Cutter. Just tell your sales guy (or the manager) that you don't want them to install the front plate right away. It doesn't really matter to them because you won't have plates yet anyway. But if you don't find something before you go to pick up your plates, they will have to install the factory bracket.
I'll tell my sales guy a few more times before it gets here, but he has already told me it shouldn't be a problem. I'm paying for my car, that's how I want it. As long as you can find a legal alternative, they really can't tell you no.
