I will look forward to your posts but treadwear ratings by themselves are not necessarily an indication that the tire will be faster. The RRs SHOULD be faster YES, but in reality I think you are going to find they are not when compared to 3R's. The 3R's were designed specifically for the ZL1 1LE thru a collaboration of GM and Goodyear. I am no engineer BUT they had to be alot of consideration in the design of the tire specifically in the sidewall of the tire to be able to support the forces thrown at it by a 3900 pound car. RR's work GREAT on 2400 pound Miatas and are basically the preferred tire option on those cars for sure but not so much on our cars.
