It may be a pipe dream, but it would be nice too if they tested each vehicle twice. Once with the stock shoes, and once with the same high performance tires. This would really showcase each vehicles capabilities rather than showcasing which tires each manufacturer decided to include. This will give people a better idea of what a consumer can expect if they decide to track their vehicles, as most will upgrade the rubber the first chance they get.

This would also likely shrink the gap between many vehicles...but would provide much better data.
