Being out of warranty now, wondering how vital Dexos certified oil actually is considering I change every 4000ish miles and have run a catch can since about 1700 miles.
In my previous LS2 and LS3 powered vehicles I ran Mobil 1 5w40 turbo diesel oil as it has more zddp in the formula.
