Should be covered. Usually items like this and other leather items that come in contact with the body and cause wear are covered once. Most of the leather issues we see are from larger people sliding into seats or lotion on hands and arms is another that causes leather to peel and separate. If it's from one of those things most likely they will not cover it a second time.
