True, amongst many many other conditions etc. Point being nearly all of us here is not a pro driver and it almost always comes down to the driver and not the machine etc. Especially if said machines are so close in capability.

Well yah, this should surprise no one. Adding on to my post above it will be especially easier for the average/intermediate driver to go faster in an auto than a MT generally speaking.
