I use Mobil 1 Full synthetics and the oem oil filter.
And 10 1/4 quarts brings my oil level to the full line on the dipstick.

Forget about the Dipstick. The capacity is 10 qts. If you put in 10 and the dipstick reads low, leave it alone. Unless of course you see a puddle of oil on the floor.
You're 1/4 overfull now. Overfull is not good, especially with these engines.
