Is there any GM literature that talks about no lift shifting in the ltg turbo?

I just tried it 1st to 2nd, and when i clutch out of first i think it redlines above 6000 rpm and sounds like my engines farting until i drop the clutch in 2nd it catches and squeels the tires a bit.

Is that normal? I want official gm literature talking about NLS in the ltg turbo
