When I had my Mustang I had the following

Nitto NT555R - great street tire IMO. Gripped good on the street, but wasn't as good at the track as I had hoped. No matter what I tried, they were only marginally better than a street tire. Roasting them for my burnout, small burnout, stock air pressure, low air pressure, medium didn't matter.

M&H Drag Radials- better than the Nitto but still not the best. Was very inconsistent, sometimes it hooked like glue, other times it was just like a street tire. required lots of playing around with different PSI in them.

Mickey Thompson ET Street. This things were like glue. hooked fantastic on the street and on the track they were amazing. Definitely worth the money. Only thing I didn't like about them is they wore fast, and they picked up everything and would toss rocks like crazy, especially after getting some heat in them.
