i saw a members car with the gm hot cam and LT2 pulled well to 7600 or so. i do believe it has a katech ported cyl head on it, tho.

id expect a cammed car to pull well past 7k unless it was a very small camshaft. i shift my bolt on car at 6750-6800, 6900 limiter. the small cams i've been looking at pull clean to around 7500 where they terminated the pull in the middle of the peak power curve.

edit: i've been looking at small cams (btr 220) bc i'm afraid of bigger ones needing more rpm. idk how long this short block would last seeing 8k rpm every time the car goes out.
