Oil has been going through my intake for my whole driving career. I’ve had a couple cars over 200k miles and one to 300k. Seen multiple LT1 cylinder head intake ports looking just fine and multiple post of DI Audi’s and Nissans looking not so good to put the scare out there. I’d say they are definitely worth it if you sell catch cans. If you have to pay a ridicules price just to have a clean intake then I don’t see the point. I’ll bet there are other parts of my car that are pretty dirty as well. I don’t feel I need the attaboy for showing I spent $300+ to catch 3 oz of a gasoline water oil mix on here or in some group on Facebook but kudos to the salesman and the buyers that do.
