I told him 1500miles a year, maybe 8k rpm and 30+psi. He said
“Okay, you're on the right track then. Spring pressure is a double edged sword. Insufficient pressure leads to closing bounce which is destructive, but that amount of open pressure can be hard on valve tips so oil with a lot of zinc additives is recommended.”
