Change it, it is VERY easy and isn't as smelly as some gear lube...

Mine at 505 miles as well as at 1,500 miles (today) both looked damn near new, slight discoloration and some "smudging" on the magnetic plugs, but overall looked very good... Cheap insurance to change it...
