Pet peeve: that's actually a coincidence, not irony ;-)
Irony would possibly be if you got stuck in a rental that was the same make/model/color as the vehicle that caused the wreck in the first place, and then you immediately rear-ended another Camaro on the road.
Or maybe that you drove off in the rental Camaro, and immediately got rear-ended by another car
